The 1st Brazilian Meeting (2015) was held in Gramado - RS. The event happened together with the VI Meeting of the Brazilian Institute of Neuropsychology and Behavior. Around 500 participants attended this meeting (considering both events). The sessions had a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 150 people at the audience. We had three international invited speakers: Martin Daly, Thomas Flamson, and Pat Barclay. The schedule included symposia on mate choice, parental care, parent-offspring conflict, eating behavior and a poster session.
The 2nd Brazilian Meeting (2018) was held in Natal - RN. About 150 participants attended the event. Invited speakers included Benedict Jones, Maria Emília Yamamoto, Suemi Tokumaru, Debra Lieberman, Leif Kennar, Ruth Mace, and Peter Richerson. The event presented different approaches to the study of evolution of human behavior such as Gene-Culture Coevolution, Human Behavioral Ecology, and Evolutionary Psychology to the audience. The symposia addressed the topics of cooperation, non-human personality, cultural evolution of local medical systems, and more. Both events were widely recognized as very successful.
